Houston Municipal Traffic Court Records
Houston Municipal traffic court records are documents that comprise the details of a traffic violation that occurred within the City of Houston. Examples of such violations are speeding, driving a vehicle with an expired registration or license, reckless driving, and disregarding traffic control devices. Traffic offenses in Texas are generally fine-only offenses and rarely result in jail time.
Houston Municipal traffic court records are managed by the Clerk of Courts Office. Individuals can walk into the clerk's office to inspect and obtain copies of a traffic court record. A copy request can also be submitted online through the Houston Public Information Request Center. Plain copies cost 75 cents per page, while certified copies cost $3.40 for the first page and $1.70 for each subsequent page.
